The Afnor standard NF S 52-503 requires that the quick releaser/chicken loop must be replaced every 2 years, or even sooner, in case of intensive use.
However, if the AKA quick releaser looks good and does not show any kind of wear, you may just replace the elastic and chicken loop rope.
