Epic wave session in Brittany...

Landing a Cabrinha Contra kite in strong winds with the Kite Attitude universal bar - Triggerring the quick releaser of the chicken loop - Relaunching your kite by yourself

Nice waves, sunny day and wind gusts up to 35 knots. Magic conditions in Quiberon on Sep 11, 2017. No one on the beach to help launch the kite or land the kite:  only option: take it off and land the kite by yourself, by triggerring the quick release...

This video was shot without any trick. When you push away the push release cup of the AKA QR of the universal bar, the kite is completely depowered. This is true for all kite brands, such as North Evo, Neo, Naish Pivot, Park, F-One Bandit, Cabrinha Convert Switchblade Drifter Xbow FX, Takoon Log Wook Furia, Slingshot RPM Rally, etc... ... and all other brands. Kite Attitude universal bars are configured with the safety connected to one power line only.

This video shows how easy it is to trigger the quick releaser and reconnect it. The safety line slides very easily both ways: when you trigger the safety and when you want to relaunch the kite. The whole process is as fluid as it should be. Both the AKA quick releaser and the Kite Attitude bar are secure.

Brittany is a fantastic place, especially the Presqu'Île de Quiberon and Sainte Barbe beach. The sunlight is unique... I started the session showing how to launch and land the kite, then I went kiting, and then ended the session by landing the kite. No tricks at all in this video. Everything is real.

A few tips:
- do not learn to launch a kite by yourself in strong winds. Try in mild winds only (less than 15 knots).
- before you launch or land your kite, it is a good idea to trim to reduce power
- if you trim before launching your kite, make sure the rope fits well inside the Clamcleat, since you may trim while the rope is not under tension by the kite
- do not launch or land a kite if there are rocks / stones ; do it only on a sand beach (or on grass)
- make sure all 4 lines are connected and not crossed before you launch your kite
