Best setting for the Totem universal bar and Best Kahoona, Waroo, RPM Slingshot or a kite older than 2008

When you purchase a Totem universal bar, it is ready to ride with most of the kites on the market. You can go ahead to start kiting without worrying about anything.

However, you might want to improve the setting in some particular cases:

• Best Kahoona until 2015
• RPM Slingshot until 2015
• Best Waroo
• And more generally speaking all kites prior to 2008 and old C Shapes

Note: this tutorial is not good for the F-One Bandit 1 and F-One Bandit Dos for which we propose specific extensions.

Just follow these instructions to create 2 settings on the back leader lines:

1. standard setting for most kites on the market
2. specific setting: Kahoona, Waroo, RPM and old C Shapes...

If you keep the standard/default setting with an old Best Kahoona, RPM, Waroo or old C Shape, the kite will be very powerful and slightly oversheeted. Some wakestylers will like it, but chances are you won't! So you would have to trim a bit to avoid being overpowered. The Totem universal bar makes it really easy to create a specific setting for these kites, so that you won't have to trim and be able to keep all the potential depower of the Totem bar.

So, on the back leader lines, there will be 2 connection points :

1. standard/universal for most kites on the market
2. specific for Kahoona, Waroo, RPM and other old C Shapes

Step 1: default setting

When you purchase a Totem universal bar, here is how it looks like:

Step 2: push the floater up so that the knots appear on the back leader line:

Step 3: Disconnect the back leader line

Step 4: remove the last 3 knots at the bottom, in the series of 5 knots

Step 5: and make a knot about 12 cm after the first 2 knots (standard setting)

This is where you will connect the back leader lines for RPM, Waroo, Kahoona and other C Shape prior to 2008!

So now you can choose easily between the 2 settings.
